Q. Who is Cedar Valley Art and Wine?

A. Cedar Valley Art and Wine offers an entertaining, unique and relaxing 3-hour painting session in a fun social environment! Join local professional artists while they help you create a master piece ready for hanging. Whether it is recreating a Van Gogh or painting an original idea, sip on your favorite wine or non-alcoholic beverage while you paint. 

Q. Where are you located?

A. Cedar Valley Art and Wine is located at 307 Main Street, Cedar Falls. Click on the Location Map for easy locating.

Q. Do I have to know how to paint to come to a session?

A. Beginners are welcome! All paintings are done in such a way that beginners and experienced painters will enjoy the experience.

Q. How do I register? 

A. The registration page is located under the Calendar tab. Choose the painting and date you would like by clicking the "Pay Now" button. You will be redirected to the PayPal website. Select the number of attendees and payment type. Registration is automatic once you have paid for the class. For registration questions, e-mail or phone 319-939-4356.

Q. How much does a class cost?

A. Regular scheduled events range from $40.00 to $45.00 per person depending on canvas size, wood size or glass selection. The price includes all painting materials, an apron and snacks.  

Q. What if I want to attend class with a group?

A. The best way to register is using one e-mail address. This way we can recognize you as the same group and will reserve seats for you to sit together. Another way is to e-mail us at - and let us know prior to the event so we can sit your group together. 

Q. How do I cancel or change a registration?

A. Notify us by email at - or by phone at 319.939.4356, 48 hours prior to the event to be eligible for a refund or credit. You may change your class date up to the morning of the scheduled event. In-store credit will be issued if the notice is given within the last 48 hours if you choose to cancel the registration.  

Q. How old do you have to be to attend a class?

A. Individuals over the age of 16 are welcome at all sessions. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Watch our calendar for session times specifically set up for children.

Q. What happens if an under-age person in our group partakes in alcoholic beverages while at your studio?

A.  First, if someone in your group is questionable about being of legal age, all individuals in the group will be asked for identification. Legal aged attendees will receive a mark on their hand. If the individual who is underage is caught drinking, the police will be called and proper legal actions will be taken. 

Q. What do I need to bring?

A. The desire to have fun and something to drink! Wine, for those over 21, or a non-alcoholic beverage are acceptable. All painting supplies, apron, corkscrew, snacks and wine glasses are provided by Cedar Valley Art and Wine.

Q. What do I wear?

A. Wear comfortable clothing. An apron is provided but you may possibly get paint on your sleeves or pant legs. The paint does not wash out. 

Q. What time do I need to be there?

A. 10 to 15 minutes prior to the start time is appropriate for arrival. The studio will open 30 minutes prior to the event. Instructor's begin teaching approximately five minutes after start time. The studio will close if no attendees are there within the first half hour unless Cedar Valley Art and Wine is notified by phone. 

Q. When are new calendars released?

A. The Pick Calendar is updated weekly so a minimum of three weeks is always visible.

Q. May I schedule a fundraiser?

A. Yes! Please call 319-939-4356 for more information. 

Q. Do I have to paint the painting that is being taught?

A. Creative expression in all forms is always welcome! Paint what you would like! Feel free to change the design, position, or colors of the painting to match your décor. 

Q. May I bring a non-painting guest to class?

A. Unfortunately, seats are available for painting guests only. Please call ahead for seating if you have not registered on-line via the Calendar or Contact Us tab. Phone 319-939-4356 or e-mail us at to see if seats are available.
